Throughout the process of Planning Vancouver Together, you will have a number of opportunities to share your expertise, perspectives and experiences to shape our work together.
Share your experiences.
Vancouver has seen significant changes in recent months. These times, while incredibly challenging, have also shown that people can connect and support each other.
Now that recovery efforts are beginning across the city, Planning Vancouver is continuing efforts to engage the diversity of our population in creating a long-term, strategic vision and actionable Vancouver Plan to shape the future of our City to 2050 and beyond. The Plan scope is adapting to also help guide our community recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
We want to hear about your experiences and your ideas on what kind of a city we need post-pandemic and how we can support community recovery as we plan for a better future together on these traditional unceded lands we call home.
Our children and youth are too often left out of the conversations and processes that help define the future city they will inherit. Ensuring that we hear from our youth will be essential for developing a plan that works for everyone.
To address this gap we are aiming to enlist our youth as Young Planners to support and inform this process. These activities aim to inspire involvement, build civic literacy, and ensuring that our youth are able to join in in Planning Vancouver Together.
